LFC Globe has published the Liverpool team for its Europa League match against Utrecht in Holland this evening.
The biggest talking point is the central midfield pairing of Lucas and Poulsen.
Will this defensive duo be good enough to contain the Dutch side?
Will they have enough guile and creativity to start attacks against Utrecht?
The inclusion of Raul Miereles should boost or options there.
Roy Hodgson, rightly, respects his opponents tonight with most of the big guns in the team, especially Fernando Torres.
Let us hope we are good enough to get a result this evening.
Starting: Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Kelly; Poulsen, Lucas; Kuyt, Cole, Miereles; Torres.
Subs: Jones, Kyrgiakos, Rodriguez, Jovanovic, Ngog, Babel, Shelvey(probable).

HODGSON'S LIVERPOOL SHOWING SIGNS OF PROGRESS
Ok, so we lost at Old Trafford to our old enemy Man Utd 3-2, but there were alot of positives to take from the defeat.
Roy Hodson's Liverpool team gave Utd a good old run for their money and they were made work very hard for their victory.
We matched them for posession, gave them precious few goal-scoring chances, except the ones that Berbatov scored from and on another day, it could have been at last a draw.
I felt Koncheskey did not get tight on his man all throughout the game which resulted in Nani having the freedom to send in the crosses that Berbatov put away.
Steven Gerrard, our Captain was marvellous all day, pulling the strings in midfield, making tackles in defence and scoring the two goals to bring us back into the game.
Poulson looked ok in midfield, passing the ball to his colleagues, making some good tackles, maybe his passing was a bit defensive at times, but he will grow into the team.
Meireles shaved his head and played like his composure had gone with his locks, he will turn out to be a good purchase for Liverpool though.
Joe Cole played in fits and starts as he adjusts to a new club he is fully committed to, and he will be a vital player for us this season.
Fernando Torres was isolated upfront in the first-half but he did manage to win us a penalty and a free-kick from which Stevie G scored both times.
So, to loose 3-2 to the Scum after running them so close is galling, but we are improving all the time and I am optimistic for the rest of the season ahead as Roy Hodgson continues his rebuilding of this Liverpool team.
LIVERPOOL BOARD HAS TWO WEEKS TO STOP HICKS DOOMSDAY PLANS
Tomas Hicks senior is hell-bent on a full take-over of Liverpool Football Club, Anfield, Melwood and all of its assets in order to re-finance his loan with RBS worth £280 million.
The despicable Texan has reportedly agreed a deal with the Blackstone/GSO group to buy-out his loans with RBS buy Oct 1st.
This would see the end of Barcap's interest in the club and the demise of Martin Broughton as chairman of the club.
This would then clear the way for Hicks to reappoint his son as a member of the board, overturning the current majority of Broughton, Purslow and Ayre in the Anfield boardroom.
The current triumvirate are frantically trying to find an outside buyer for Liverpool FC before the Oct 6th deadline set by RBS and are again seeking legal advice on the issue.
George Gillette appears to have voluntarily defaulted on a loan of £75 million to RBS wishing to wash his hands of the club, due to Hicks callous behaviour, however, he may still have some say in the Texan's proposed buyout.
Sadly, if Hicks does succeed in getting new more expensive debtors in place, he will, most likely, lose some of Liverpool's best players including Fernando Torres and many others.
His Blackstone/GSO group have no plans to invest in the team or the new stadium, so if Hicks succeeds in his refinancing, then it is a very dark day at Liverpool FC

LIVERPOOL BOARD TO BLOCK HICKS EVIL PLANS
As hated owner Tom Hicks attempts one final throw of the dice to hang onto Liverpool Football Club.
The Anfield boardroom of Broughton, Poulson and Ayre are determined to block any move that Hicks may make.
Hicks, the most hated man in Liverpool FC's history, is talking to other banks about refinancing the debt of £250 million to RBS.
To do this, he needs to offer some collateral, a bargaining chip. Hicks is plannnig to mortgage Liverpool Football Club itself in a desperate attempt to gain a last-ditch new loan so he can 'own' the club.
However, the above-mentioned members of the board are refusing to allow this to happen.
They have sought legal advice and have been assured by the lawyers that they are within their rights to block any move by Hicks to refinance again by using; The Club, Anfield and the Academy as security on an new loan.
Let us pray that this fiendish man does not get his wicked way, that the board block his moves and that RBS sell to the best bidder on Oct 6th.
By the bye, Jamie Rednapp has really gone downhill in my estimation by slagging of Fernando Torres last week, he is just returning from International duty after an injury-hit summer and is not, simply not entititled to be called 'diabolical' by an injury-prone idiot like Rednapp-junior, Jamie Redpratt!
I see the Telegraph has stolen my thunder.

LEAKED TEAMSHEET FOR STEAU GAME
LFC GLOBE has revealed what is believed to be the team-sheet for the Europa League tie against Steau Bucharest at Anfield tonight.
Raul Meireles, as expected, will make his full debut in midfield alongside young Jay Spearing.
Joe Cole also gets a start in the midfield roving role.
Ryan Babel looks set to start on the wing again with David Ngog returning upfront.
Kyrgiakos and Agger take up duties at centre back for the Reds.
Roy Hodgson looks to be resting some of his key players like Torres, Gerrard and Carra with one eye on the trip to 'Old Scaffold' on Sunday.
I am looking forward to this Europa tie at Anfield, it gives us another European night at the ground and to go and win this competition would be fabulous for the team, the manager and the fans.
Team News:
Reina; Kelly, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Konchesky; Spearing, Meireles, Maxi, Cole, Babel, Ngog.

BARCAP REVEAL SERIOUS BIDDERS IN TO BUY LIVERPOOL
A senior source close to Barclays Capital believes there to be some interest in the club, with “as many as five bidders at in-depth stages of due diligence” and a “Hong Kong-based investor leading the race” to take over at Anfield.
The bank, however, appears unwilling to offer any financial support to the potential investors, with the source stating there is “no chance of Barcap becoming involved with the debt financing of any takeover”.
However, Barclays Capital are reported to be becoming increasingly frustrated with the current owners. “Unrealistic valuations are driving us [BarCap] insane,” said the source. The insider also accused the American duo of being “unreachable”.
Most papers had stated that once Kenny Huang had pulled out of a possible deal, there were no other interested parties involved in buying Liverpool FC, however, now according to The Sports Review, there are serious bidders out there.
Lets hope it true and that the club will the proper owners at long last.
KIEV'S FOWARD MAY BE HEADING TO LIVERPOOL IN JANUARY
Dynamo Kiev forward Artem Mileskiy is, apparently on Liverpool manager's Roy Hodgson's radar in the January transfer window.
The Ukranian foward has just re-signed as a Kiev striker for a futher 3 years but, crucially, has inserted a £10 million buy-out clause in the contract which allows any club to bid for the foward in the New Year.
Nice to see RBS putting the squeeze on ours owners Hicks and Gillette, not long now before we are rid of them I hope.

RBS TO TAKEOVER LIVERPOOL ON OCTOBER 6TH
LIVERPOOL will avoid a nine-point penalty if they fall under bank ownership next month.
The Premier League will approve an Anfield takeover by the Royal Bank of Scotland if co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillet don't find a buyer or repay their debt by October 6. The RBS has had power to seize the club before but there were concerns about league sanctions. Fans feared that if the Americans defaulted on their loans the club would be plunged into administration, leading to a nine-point deduction. It looks therefore unlikely that there are any serious bids for the club on the boardroom table at this moment in time.
Indeed, if RBS do takeover Liverpool FC, the dreaded Yanks will end up with nothing, something we should all rejoice in.
