RAFA ULTRA-CAUTIOUS WITH AQUILANI

Friends Of Liverpool

When is Rafa going to play our newest signing Alberto Aquilani?
The guy cost between £17 and £20 million from Roma.
He arrived at Anfield as an injured player, his ankle being the problem.
That meant he had to spend a while in the treatment room with the physios at Melwood as he underwent prolonged rehab and fitness courses.
The 25 year old has been fit and available for selection for the past month however, but he has only made two cameo appearances from the bench since he recovered from his knocks.
Rafa Benitez has been very reluctant to use the man since his recovery from injury.
He seems to be wrapping the lad in cotton wool.
“It has not been easy to play him, but we are giving him more encouragement in training sessions and he is getting much, much better” said Rafa.
The team is crying out for a passing, goal-scoring midfielder like Aquilani so I hope Benitez uses him sooner rather than later.
If not against Blackburn at the weekend, then he should start in the game against Fiorentina in the dead rubber in the Champions League next Wednesday.
